Gas separation membranes have been utilized in a wide variety of applications such as recovery of hydrogen from inert purge of reactors, removal of hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide from natural gas, and separation of oxygen/nitrogen in air. Pervaporation is a special case of gas separation membrane process, which can be used in dehydration from alcohol.
