Micro-filtration (MF) cartridges remove particulate by using membranes of pore size ratings from 0.1 to 1 micron. MF pore sizes have two different rating: nominal and absolute. Cartridges with nominal rating are typically used as pre-filter for cartridges with absolute rating.
